• A "virtual cement" lot is sold in the size of 25 x 25 pixels (see homepage for examples of actual size), and is based on value of website "real estate" see pricing illustration below. A single "virtual cement" lot purchase is $25 (for a lot in the 800 x 600 range), $10 (for a lot in the 1024 x 768 range), $5 (for a lot in the 1280 x 1024 range), or $1 (for any lot placed in the area that is greater than the 1280 x 1024 range). As the lots purchased are permanent, except in case of fraud, disingenuous / unauthorized link submission or violation of Terms and Conditions, the most readily viewable space in the browser will be seen first - even by the smallest resolution. As 640 x 480 is rarely used anymore and as 800 x 600 is still an overwhelmingly popular monitor resolution, 800 x 600 will be the starting point for pricing & placement.
  
  
  
  
  
• INITIALS SUBMITTED FOR INSCRIPTION IN THE CEMENT MUST BE LETTERS ONLY! NO SPECIAL CHARACTERS OR NUMBERS!


• High Search Engine placement of The Sidewalk Project will constantly be monitored and maintained by J. Andrew Design, Inc. Your link on the first page of The Sidewalk Project will be valuable in helping you promote your own site's search engine placement!


• When you 'buy' cement, you will not 'own' any part of the homepage or this site, but rather you are granted the right to submit initials and a link which will then be published on the homepage in first come first served fashion starting with the upper left corner and working outwards to infinity and beyond


• You cannot change the initials once you have submitted them, so you must be sure of what you want on the "sidewalk," which will be there for at least 5 years. The ONLY exception is if you have a strong reason why you need a change to your image/link, eg. your site no longer exists, major structural change to your site, lawsuits, etc.


• If your initials and link are accepted and published on the homepage, you cannot get a refund


• The site and homepage will be online for at least 5 years (starting from the day it launched), but possibly longer (that's the aim)


• No obscene/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted, and I decide what is appropriate for my site. If you submit an image or link that is rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative, otherwise your money will be refunded and you will lose your space on the sidewalk


• If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show offensive/obscene/adult material then your link will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get a refund of any kind for the link downtime


• If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the homepage, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become publically available again


• Links must be to web pages only and must begin with http://


• You must have the authority to provide the initials and link for the website you submit


• Funds must be fully recieved and cleared before your initials / link goes live on the homepage


• There might be occasional downtime for site maintenence but this should be kept to a minimum


• Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (eg. in my PayPal or bank account), I will aim to get your "cement" online within 24-48hrs (but please have patience as things kick off and loads of people order at the same time)
